A. E. Chewning, a multi-talented author and actress, has built her career on the foundation of her passion for history, storytelling, and the paranormal. Her successful writing career began in 2020 with her first publication, The Hidden Curse trilogy. From there she has continued her passion for writing through publishing novels, novellas, and various other publications including the Magnolia Magic series, The Society of the Supernatural, and Devecheaux Antiques and Haunted Things. Chewning’s work has also been featured in Southern Woman magazine based in Georgia and Book Brush, an online publication.
Chewning was captivated by storytelling and reading at an early age, inspired by her mother’s nightly readings of adventurous tales. She sees no end in sight of story ideas, characters to develop and her own adventures to tell.
Her current work includes a new stand alone novel that delves into the world of mind-boggling conspiracy theories and Hollywood, Project Alice. Chewning is also working on Book Seven of the popular Devecheaux Antiques and Haunted Things series, Kalliope’s Dollhouse, with her co-author M.L. Bullock. These projects are set to be released later this Summer and Fall. The Devecheaux book is out for pre-order on Amazon now. Both will be available online and in local bookstores.
Keeping with the innate desire for all things storytelling, she pursued acting roles in theatre and television. Booking roles in well-known productions like Annie and Thoroughly Modern MIllie and Hawaii Five-0. Chewning even performed as a hula dancer at various venues in Hawaii and stateside.
Researching the many legends and stories of the past has also become one of her passions. Her childhood experiences with the paranormal in Mobile, Alabama, sparked her curiosity in exploring the unexplained, leading her to join two paranormal investigation teams that has given her the opportunity to investigate several different haunted locations in Alabama and Tennessee.
Now residing in Athens, Alabama, A. E. Chewning continues to find inspiration in the rich history and spirits of the past.
